The trade of terms :

DDU :Delivered Duty Unpaid

DDP :Delivered Duty Paid

LDP :Landed Duty Paid

In recent years ,American buyers (purchasers) are not only satisfied with DDP ,they want to LDP services ,that is means the seller  will carry out customs clearance and tax payment in the American without issuing POA .

What is POA ? Generally , it can be understandede with the letter of authorization to customs declaration which in importing ,that is the power of attorney authorizing the customs clearance company to perform customs clearence on behalf of the customs clearance company ,which contains some company information of the buyer (such as tariff number). However ,in order to avoid some troubles in the future , the buyer would like the seller are not noly to provide customs clearance agency ,but also the import company to help the import customs clearance of the cargoes .

This is the essential difference between LDP and DDP . DDP requires the buyer (purchaser) to sign the POA, and then the customs clearance company is responsible for customs clearance. LDP does not require the buyer (purchaser) to sign the POA, and the seller (Supplier) provides the import company for import customs clearance. DDP requires the buyer (purchaser) to sign the POA, and then the customs clearance company is responsible for customs clearance. LDP does not require the buyer (purchaser) to sign the POA, and the seller (Supplier) provides the import company for import customs clearance.

For some customers who need tax receipts, we generally operate DDU mode with single invoice. In this channel, we usually deliver the goods directly to the port nearest to the customer, and then do the customs clearance and delivery service for single ticket.

Of course, sometimes the DDU you want is only paid by the customer, but it is still closed in the name of our agent. In this case, We will arrange the transportation mode according to the volume of goods and market conditions.
